I'm a dad, husband, artists, and entrepreneur.
As my mom before me, I was born with Polycystic Kidney Disease, (PKD, a genetic disorder). I'd known since I was a kid that one day I might need to deal with kidney failure. At 50 that day came. I lived a normal life before that.
I graduated high school then got a job as a dental technician. Healthy and normal I pursued my passions in Pottery, Photography, then stepped into my second career doing full time Professional Sand Sculptures.
My first son, Daniel then arrived some years later requiring that I find a new job with less travel. I slowly transitioning to Faux Rock Construction and Design from Sand Sculpture now working exclusively in this trade.
Now at 68 yrs old I strive to share what I've learned in life, faux rock construction, business, my health and Faith. And with this website, all the kidney failure issues and challenges I've been through and learned about.

Kidney failure is NOT the end of the road. A completely full and exciting life is ahead! We just need to take everything one step at a time.
Stay calm and learn. Don't be afraid to ask questions. You need to confirm who will be your care team. Who your Primary Care and kidney Doctor will be or is.
